Learn How Colostrum Knocks Candida UNCONSCIOUS

Candida

Colostrum is the strongest, biggest pillar in my nutritional lineup. It takes care of everything for me, one thing it does really well for me is keep candida albicans in check. For millions of candida overgrowth suffers, the truth is, your gut flora will never 100% return to its original natural state. Though I don’t suffer from candida over growth anymore, this is true for me too. Why? Well, at least once in our lives, we have taken a course of antibiotics. It only takes one course of oral antibiotics to completely sterilize most of our probiotic bacterial strains that we were born with.

I don’t care how good your probiotic supplements are, you are not ever getting your native human flora back to its natural state. Acidophilus and bifidobacterium will help, but keep in mind that after one course of antibiotics, many thousands of unique strains of beneficial bacteria are completely sterilized. You can’t ever supplement back to your original microbiome, even the best probiotics only have a dozen different strains, most of which are not even native to the human gut.

Though removing grains and sugar from your diet is an effective measure to lower overall candida numbers, for many, their candida remains dominant and is a sign that their gut flora has been shattered by antibiotics. Starving the candida will never correct the ratios of candida to bacteria. Starving candida is only starving yourself. So what is the answer?

Reformat The Immune System And Target Candida For Destruction With Colostrum

First, what is colostrum? Colostrum is the first meal of every mammal on Earth. Different from milk, every mammal mother feeds her newborn a meal of colostrum, which contains 86 growth factors to generate and mature the gut and other lean tissues, 96 immune factors and transferable antibodies for every pathogen ever encountered by the mother along with various other compounds to keep the infant from succumbing to deadly infections. (Bovine Colostrum contains 86 growth factors and 96 immune factors)

If you were not breast fed colostrum as a baby, you are immune compromised and you have leaky gut syndrome. Though this is unfortunate, you can still generate a healthy gut lining and reformat your immune system using bovine colostrum as an adult!

Back to killing candida..

For those looking to keep candida in check, there are going to be 2 strategies that will get you there.

1.) Make Your Immune System Indestructible- Colostrum is the right woman for this job. Quite simply, if your immune system is strong enough, it will keep candida in check. Colostrum, by a long shot, is the most powerful immune system fortifier and modulator created by nature on Earth.

Colostrum contains antibodies to counter every single pathogen ever encountered by the mother that creates the colostrum. Bovine colostrum also contains immune transfer factors which literally transfer the cow’s immune system weapons into your immune system. This process has been well studied.

Does colostrum contain antibodies to fight candida albicans? You bet, the mother cows that produce colostrum have kept the very same candida in check their whole lives, and if you consume their colostrum you will earn the immune tools that they used to beat candida.

If you are unsure about the pathogen fighting power of bovine colostrum, my favorite colostrum study should convince you. A PubMed article describes a study in which bovine colostrum was compared to the flu vaccine for flu prevention. How did colostrum hold up against the flu vaccine against the flu?

“Colostrum, both in healthy subjects and high-risk cardiovascular patients, is at least 3 times more effective than vaccination to prevent flu and is very cost-effective.”

So this study proved that colostrum supplementation in human adults is at least 3 times more effective against the flu virus than the flu vaccine itself!

This study can be found at this address –  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17456621

If colostrum antibodies can knockout the ever tricky flu virus, you can be sure that colostrum will handle candida, a simple yeast.

But what is the second strategy to put the nail in the coffin of candida albicans?

2.) Specifically Target Candida For Destruction- Again, colostrum is the best woman for this job. Though step one does cover this with colostrum’s candida antibodies, there are other compounds in colostrum, which on there own will target and inhibit candida growth in your body.

The most powerful compound in colostrum I am referring to is called lactoferrin.

Lactoferrin is a multi-functional glycoprotein that is actually already used by the human body as a major component of the immune system. Lactoferrin acts as a potent antimicrobial to dangerous pathogens such as salmonella, E. coli, listeria, staphylococcus, clostridium and yes, candida albicans. Though the body already contains some measures of lactoferrin, supplementing it through colostrum will greatly magnify its candida killing effects through concentrationSeveral studies demonstrate the pathogen slaying capabilities of lactoferrin. (1)

Just as colostrum is dual-directional, intelligent and modulating in its action, so too is its component lactoferrin. Several studies show that lactoferrin not only kills pathogens, it actually promotes the growth of probiotic strains such as lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobactera. (2) These were the the only two strains of probiotics studied and you can bet that lactoferrin promotes the colonization of all of your remaining probiotic strains. This is the formula to controlling candida.

Colostrum is, by far, the highest natural source of lactoferrin. If you are supplementing at least a tablespoon of colostrum powder per day, you should be getting sufficient concentrations of lactoferrin.

Personally, I consume 3-5 tablespoons of colostrum per day which, when combined with weight training, is several times more anabolic than the best protein powders. This article I wrote mentions studies demonstrating the muscle building effects of colostrum when paired with resistance training.

Another major action of lactoferrin is its potent fat burning potential. Several studies demonstrate significant weight loss results with lactoferrin supplementation. I wrote this article about using colostrum as a lactoferrin source for significant weight loss.

Another thing to keep in mind is that raw colostrum naturally comes with a very broad spectrum of beneficial probiotics. In fact, raw colostrum is a better, more powerful probiotic than any bottle of probiotics you will find on the shelf. With all the other amazing anti-aging benefits of colostrum, it is a no brainer to use colostrum over expensive probiotic pills.

What Dosage Of Colostrum Is Effective To Wipe Out Candida?

Colostrum is extremely safe as a functional whole food. In short, the more you take, the more immune factors and lactoferrin will be going to work in your body to suppress pathogens and multiply your immunity. Smaller doses of one teaspoon per day will certainly help but if I had a candida issue I would be super dosing colostrum until my body was restored to balance.

For those with serious candida issues, start at one tablespoon per day and you can safely increase your dosage up to five tablespoons and up per day. You will likely start to see diminishing returns after five tablespoon dosages.

How To Consume Colostrum

Colostrum is super delish in smoothies and desert recipes. In fact, when blended into water and sweetened with stevia, colostrum is the finest milk replacement on Earth. Get creative with it and try adding it into recipes.

I take so much colostrum that it is convenient for me to simply scoop the powder into my mouth and wash it down with water.

Sourcing The Best Colostrum

As with any supplement, you get what you pay for. Most colostrum supplements are extensively cooked, defatted, refined and processed down until they no longer resemble colostrum. The most common issue is that almost all colostrum supplements are cooked. This completely removes the probiotic fraction and denatures the fragile immune antibodies and growth factors.

Just as many colostrum supplements are de-fatted like skim milk which removes vital fat soluble immune factors from the whole colostrum.

Yet another issue, very important to those who are allergic to dairy or lactose intolerant, is that many colostrum supplements are harvested more than 6 hours after the birth of the cow’s calf. 6 hours after birth, dairy milk starts making its way into the colostrum. Now you are buying watered down colostrum. It is vital that you buy PURE 6-hour milk-free colostrum.

The last requirement you should look for is that the cows have been raised free range and grass-fed.

Whole, Raw Colostrum Powder

I have kept a sharp eye on the colostrum market these past few years and there are only two companies that sell a colostrum that meet all of these standards of quality. In fact, both of these companies source the exact same cold-processed, non-defatted, grass-fed, whole certified 6-hour pure colostrum powder.

These companies are Immune Tree and Surthrival. If you are unaware of these supplement companies, take note, they are at the pinnacle of product quality. So much so that they sacrifice marketing to keep top shelf quality.

These are the type of people that I love to support. It is always a pleasure to buy my supplements made by people who demand the same top quality out of the foods that they themselves eat. These people make sure of this, as they consume their own products.

If you would like to purchase the best colostrum powder on the market, Immune Tree is where I go for smaller orders while Surthrival offers a 2 kilo bag of colostrum powder for those looking to buy in bulk quantity.

Sorry forgot to hit reply on last post! Do you think Sovereign Labs Colostrum is not as useful at all since Flash pasturized? Does that mean it is less effective in your opinion?
They the Company say it has less Lactose issues, is that caused my the flash pasteurization?

Goats Colostrum has a differant Lactose breakdown of Lactose then Cows Colostrum but how effectively it works is another important factor also!

Also is Lactoferrin safer when Lactose intolerant Colostrum users? If Lactoferrin is used for long periods of time it seems to cause more stomach issues.
Apolatoferrin confused me immensely, although many use it, the Life Extensions brand.
My preferance long ago was Sedona Labs they have since changed there line of Colostrum from Canada and not New Zealand!
I trust so few companys, we never know which are best.
Quantum makes what appears to be made with great caution, never defatting the Colostrum.
Would like to hear tour perspective on these Colostrums and on the Lactoferrin
Thanks Josh you

Hi
Was using Surthrival for about 40 days and for about 3 weeks feeling so tired (going back to bed during the day tired)I had to stop. Not 100% sure it’s the colostrum but is looking that way. Wondered whether anyone else has had this problem.

So, I raise beef cattle and totally understand the importance of colostrum. Just never thought of how it might be important after the first 12 hrs of life as well. My only question is: Wouldn’t the antibodies cattle pass into the babies through colostrum be totally different than antibodies humans would. Cattle and humans get totally different diseases and have way different digestive tracts. The microbes that are in bovine stomachs are different than ours. Otherwise we’d be able to digest hay and grass like them. So how does that work?
